Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of UCFYX, an online platform for learning networking and cybersecurity. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use UCFYX.

2. The service

UCFYX provides educational tools for practising networking and cybersecurity skills. For networking, this includes interactive labs, a command-line simulator, troubleshooting scenarios, a subnetting trainer, and exam practice. For cybersecurity, this includes a Cybersecurity Academy of structured courses and modules together with hands-on cyber labs, all run in a safe, simulated environment. The platform also provides progress tracking. UCFYX is an independent learning aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Cisco Systems or any certification body, and using it does not guarantee passing any certification exam.

3. Your account

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.
• You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to anyone else.

4. Acceptable use

UCFYX is a learning environment. The networking and command-line skills it teaches are intended for lawful, educational, and professional use. You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate unauthorised access to systems you do not own or have permission to test.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the platform or other users' accounts.
• Upload content — including avatar images — that is unlawful, infringing, or offensive.
• Use automated means to abuse the service or circumvent rate limits and security controls.

5. User content

You retain ownership of the profile information and avatar image you provide. By uploading them, you grant UCFYX the limited permission needed to store and display them as part of operating your account. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any image you upload.

6. Intellectual property

The UCFYX platform, including its software, learning content, labs, scenarios, design, and branding, is owned by UCFYX and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for your own learning. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the platform's content except as expressly permitted.

7. Subscriptions and billing

UCFYX offers a Free plan and a paid UCFYX Pro plan. The Free plan includes the full networking/CCNA platform, the CLI simulator, the subnetting trainer, the troubleshooting engine, exam mode, dashboard and progress tracking, Linux Fundamentals, and Level 1 of every Cyber Lab. UCFYX Pro unlocks all Cybersecurity Academy courses and modules and all Cyber Labs, including future cybersecurity content.

Paid subscriptions are not active yet. UCFYX Pro is displayed at $4.99 per month, but no payment is collected at this time and no checkout is available. When billing launches, subscriptions will be processed by a third-party payment provider, additional billing terms presented at checkout will apply, and refunds will be governed by our Refund Policy. Until then, the in-app upgrade action only indicates that the subscription system is coming soon.

Once billing is active, you will be able to cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and you retain Pro access through the end of the current paid period. We may change plan pricing or contents on a forward-looking basis, with notice to active subscribers where required.

8. Service availability

We work to keep UCFYX available and reliable, but we provide the service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular content will always be available. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

9. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that are used abusively, or where required to protect the platform or other users. On termination, your right to use the platform ends, and your account data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

UCFYX is provided for educational purposes without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, UCFYX and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of UCFYX after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
