2. How UCFYX uses browser storage

When using the UCFYX platform, the following browser storage items are created to deliver core platform functionality:

• localStorage['token'] / localStorage['access_token']: Authenticated JWT bearer token. Essential to maintain your signed-in state across page navigations without requiring password re-entry. Cleared immediately upon sign-out.
• localStorage['theme']: User interface color preference ('dark' or 'light'). Functional convenience preserving your chosen visual theme.
• localStorage['ucfyx.lab.session']: Session identifier for active CCNA terminal labs, enabling seamless reconnection upon browser tab reload.
• localStorage['ucfyx.ts.session']: Session identifier for active network troubleshooting scenarios, enabling terminal rehydration.
• localStorage['ucfyx.exam.session']: Session identifier for active CCNA exam runs, ensuring time countdown and challenge tracking are preserved.
• sessionStorage['ucfyx_post_login_redirect']: Ephemeral redirect URL (e.g. '/premium' or '/labs/vlan_001') stored temporarily when an unauthenticated visitor initiates a protected action, ensuring they return to their desired destination upon signing in.

3. Classification of storage mechanisms

• Strictly Necessary: Session tokens, active lab IDs, and post-login destination keys are strictly necessary for the technical operation of the learning sandboxes and user authentication.
• Functional Preferences: Theme mode selection is a functional preference enhancing accessibility and readability.
• Zero Advertising or Behavioral Cookies: UCFYX does not deploy marketing cookies, ad pixels, fingerprinting scripts, or cross-site trackers.

4. Third-party authentication services

If you voluntarily choose to authenticate using Google Sign-In, Google's identity SDK may set its own security and session cookies within your browser according to Google's independent privacy policy. If you use local email/password credentials, Google cookies are never set.

5. Managing your browser storage

You can inspect, manage, and delete browser storage at any time via your browser settings ('Clear site data' or 'Clear Cookies and Local Storage' for ucfyx.com). Clearing storage will log you out of your account, reset your active terminal workspaces, and restore default theme styling.
